Paint Tests
Our manufacturing processes are followed by several paint tests, performed on finished products, that allow us to guarantee the highest quality of painting required by our customers.
Paint adhesion test by cross-cutting and tearing
Paint film adhesion test through the cross-cutting process for the quality of the paint application. The test is a destructive control of the coating film, carried out by making a series of perpendicular intersecting parallel notches. The analysis of the test results takes into account the quantity of fragments or pieces of squares that detach from the notches made on the surface.
Paint thickness test by means of a thickness gauge
Laying of the paint thickness test through the use of probing and thickness measurement tools on single-layer or multilayer painting. Through P.I.G. (Paint Inspection Gauge) we carry out a destructive precision check test. A small incision is made in the layer or layers of paint, down to the support, and by means of a microscope equipped with a vernier, it is possible to measure the thickness of the dry film.
Paint gloss test by means of a glossmeter
Visual brilliance of paint measurement test using a Gloss Meter. To accurately establish the appearance of a surface, it is also necessary to define its degree of gloss. With a multi-angle tool we can analyze all types of surfaces, from the most opaque to the most brilliant.
Paint test by means of a spectrophotometer
Color uniformity measurement test. Spectrophotometers or spectro-colorimeters are tools used to define and evaluate color. Their use allows us to monitor color accuracy when painting products. Spectrophotometers or spectro-colorimeters allow the measurement of any type of sample from a wide range of materials, thus ensuring the uniformity of colors from the design of a product to its actual manufacturing.
Liquid Resistance Test - Immersion Test
Immersion tests are carried out by immersing samples into distilled water whose temperature is regulated in accordance with specific needs. After the test, the possible appearance of blistering and coating adhesion are checked. This process allows the evaluation of the properties of organic coatings (paint products). The test can be performed on laminations or on production samples.
Hardness paint test by means of pencils
Surface hardness of paint coating test to measure the applied paint degree of resistance to wear or scratches. The hardness test is carried out by observing the trace left by pencils of different hardness (H, HB, F, etc) which are slid on the surface to be tested - by means of a standard trolley - in order to determine the surface hardness.
Thickness gauge for coatings
Thickness gauges for coatings are used to accurately measure the thickness of any type of coating and paint. Each cooking cycle is monitored and recorded by our control staff. Constant control and precise management of temperature parameters guarantee top quality finishing.
